🏺 Built-Up Lacquer — Layer by Layer, Texture by Texture
Using the traditional Chinese built-up lacquer technique, layer upon layer of natural lacquer is applied to the porcelain body. Each layer must dry naturally before the next is added — dozens of coats in total. After curing, the surface is sanded and polished by hand, revealing an undulating, three-dimensional texture beneath: rust-brown and iron-red interwoven, charcoal and silver frost shimmering beneath the patina. It looks like an artifact unearthed from an ancient ruin — weathered, earthy, and impossibly tactile.
