The most striking feature of these earrings is their intentional asymmetry. One side carries a winding antiqued-silver cloud motif, set with blue, green, and pink crystal accents. The other side features a round antiqued-silver dreamcatcher, its web-like pattern set with purple, pink, and green crystal accents. Below each hangs a different drop: the cloud suspends a purple -inlaid lacquer gourd; the dreamcatcher suspends a pearl-toned accent, a silver chain, and a deep red bead. On the ear, left and right tell different halves of the same story.

🎃 Lacquer Gourd — Light, Hidden Blessing
The gourd-shaped bead beneath the cloud is built from dozens of layers of natural purple lacquer, with shell fragments set into the surface. After hand-sanding and polishing, the purple lacquer glows like mist, and the refracts iridescent flashes from within. In Chinese tradition, the gourd (hulu) is a homophone for "blessing and prosperity" — an auspicious symbol worn close, quietly and beautifully.
